While day-to-day operations are led by the Director of DC4, the Board and DC4 Director relationship is a partnership, and the appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected. Specific Board Member responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leadership, Governance &amp; Oversight<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serving as a trusted advisor to the Director in an effort to fulfill DC4\u2019s mission<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing outcomes and metrics for evaluating impact and regularly measuring its performance and effectiveness using those metrics<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing and approving DC4\u2019s annual budget, audit reports, and material business decisions; being informed of, and meeting all, legal and fiduciary responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Contributing to an annual performance evaluation of the DC4 Director<\/li>\n<li>Assisting the Director and other Board Members in identifying and recruiting additional Board Members<\/li>\n<li>Partnering with the Director and other Board Members to ensure that Board resolutions are carried out<\/li>\n<li>Serving on committees or task forces and taking on special assignments<\/li>\n<li>Representing DC4 to stakeholders and acting as an ambassador for the organization<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring DC4\u2019s commitment to a diverse Board and staff that reflects the communities served<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Board Member Service<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Board of Directors meets 8 times per year typically on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 3pm in the\u00a0 DC4 conference room. Service on the DC4 Board of Directors is without remuneration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Board Meeting Schedule<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Monthly board meetings are scheduled for the months of January, March, April, May, June, August, October, and November.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serving on the Board is an extraordinary opportunity for individuals who are passionate about the growth, development and care of children, and DC4\u2019s mission<\/li>\n<li>Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and reliability<\/li>\n<li>Diplomatic skills and a natural affinity for cultivating relationships and persuading, convening, facilitating, and building consensus among diverse individuals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prior business experience with state licensure such as NYSED and OCFS<\/li>\n<li>Business experience with non-profit organizations<\/li>\n<li>Track record of professional community leadership in business, government, philanthropy, or the non-profit sector<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/childcare.delhi.edu\/?page_id=221\"><strong>Apply Now<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Board of Directors supports the mission of the Delhi Campus Child Care Center Inc.(DC4) and provides leadership and strategic governance.
